June 08 Gîte 2 - "This is a lovely gîte in a lovely peaceful setting.  It is conveniently situated for many beaches and towns.  We know this area well and have had a wonderful stay this time.  Look out for the hoopoe birds which are regular visitors to the garden".  Mr & Mrs T, Hants

June 08 Gîte 2 - "We've had a lovely time in this great gîte.  We can recommend the amphitheatre in Saintes, La Cayenne near Marennes for oyster museum, boat trip and good restaurants and La Palmyre resort for beaches and shops and the restaurant La Paillote at the port.

July 08 Gîte 3 - "Theirry Puizon, the butcher in La Tremblade does fantastic marinated beef kebabs, La Regent Brasserie in Royan (on seafront) does amazing ribs and every ice-cream imaginable.  The beach at La Palmyre will take your breath away.  Also the market at Les Mathes have lovely stall holders who help you if your French is limited - especially the fishmonger who has massive fish kebabs to die for -  Enjoy!  Had a fab week, Cognac and Saintes well worth traveling to.  Mr & Mrs D, Cheshire.

July 08 Gîte 3 - " Thoroughly enjoyably week.  The gîte is delightful and well appointed.  Marennes, Saintes and Mornac-sur-Seudre well worth a visit".             Mr & Mrs N, Scotland.

July 08 Gîte 2 - "This is a "home" rather than a holiday let and has been decorated and fitted out with that in mind.  Cannot recommend it too highly".                  Mr & Mrs R, Horsham.

Sept 07 Gîte 1  - Fantastic accommodation, everything you could wish for, thank you for the information folders.  Saintes and Royan well worth a visit and museum historique very interesting.  Will definitely be back.  Weather fantastic!  Mr & Mrs O, Devon

Aug 07 Gîte 1 - Second visit to the area but first at Les Lavandes.  Lovely place to stay and it's been great to re-visit places we've been to before and to discover new ones.  Mr & Mrs S, Bournemouth.

Aug 07 Gîte 1 - Very enjoyable stay, cottage well equipped.  Great beaches, lovely surrounding area.  Weather was kind too.  Hope to be back some day.            Mr & Mrs K, B'ham.

May 07 Gîte 1 - Lovely bungalow, fully equipped.  First time in this part of France, will definitely return.  Mr and Mrs B, Derby.

March 07 Gîte 1 - Lovely well presented bungalow, furnished with every necessary amenity.  Ideally located for visiting local towns and villages.  The history of the region is too much to take in at once, will come back one day to explore some more.  Mr and Mrs R, Evesham.

Oct 06 Gîte 1 - A really beautiful place to stay, so well equipped with everything you could wish for.  Weather wonderful - 23-25 degrees and sunshine!  Mr & Mrs T, Bath

August 06 Gîte 1 - A very welcoming sight as we opened the door, a lovely gîte/cottage.  Seafood great and recommend Le Pecher at the dockside at St Trojan on Ile d’Oleron.  It was a Thursday evening and there is a market in the centre of the village.  Great atmosphere.  You must try the mussels and oysters while there.  Mr & Mrs H, Merseyside. I enjoyed the gite, the bunk beds were great, the beaches were great, the toys were good and the garden.  I’d like to come back again.  Joseph H, aged 7. I like this cottage and I like the toys and games.  I recommend the beach at St Palais-Sur-Mer.  The prawns here in France are lovely.  Beth H, aged 7.

July 06 Gîte 1  - We have had a wonderful time in a wonderful place.  Bungalow is an ideal base for exploring the coast and beaches, islands, countryside and towns and cities in this beautiful part of France.  Would love to come back back – really don’t want to go home!  Mr & Mrs M, Bedfordshire

July 06 Gîte 1  - We have had a wonderful time exploring this region of France for the first time.  We thought the zoo at La Palmyre was fantastic and would definitely recommend a visit.  It was great to have such a comfortable, well equipped base to return to at the end of each day.  Thank you.  We don’t want to go home! March 06 Gîte 1 - A lovely, clean, comfortable house.  We came for a relax and a look around and got them!  Area is good – we’ve been to Mortagne-sur-Gironde before.  Royan is a pleasant shopping town with lovely beach and marina.  St Georges de Didonne great for children.  Nice trips – Oleron, Saujon nice town.  Restaurants not busy this time of year but recommend L’Etab in Arvert and Restaurant de France in La Tremblade (on route to the port opp car park – Enjoy!         Mr & Mrs S, Plymouth

Oct 05 Gîte 1  - We have had a lovely week.  The house is so comfortable to stay in - really well equipped.  We have had some lovely walks along the coast at Royan, finding beaches we didn't know existed.  The bunk beds were really comfortable and wide.

Sept 05 Gite 1 - A lovely house in a beautiful area.  Weather was kind to us most the the time and we found lots of lovely places to explore.  Brouage definitely worth a visit.  Mrs. E, Warwickshire.

July 05 Gîte 1 - "We enjoyed our stay at Les Lavandes in the beautiful French countryside where birds and wild flowers still abound.  The ambiance of the resorts along the coast made us realize we were in a different world  where you can walk along the beach for miles as nature intended.  The splendid Abbaye choir of Saintes enthralled us at Eglise Marennes with a Requiem.  How lucky you are to own a piece of Charente Maritime - Thanks it was great!"  Mr. L, Dorset

June 05 Gîte 1  - "We've had a great week - brilliant weather, mostly feels a luxury to have everything here still so new, children's' toys and games were greatly appreciated.  We enjoyed trips to Ile d'Oleron, La Tremblade, Saint Palais-Sur-Mer and various beaches, although access through the forest was difficult with pushchairs in tow.  Royan was more attractive than we expected - good market and children enjoyed playing in the fountains at the Jardins du Monde."
