La Palmyre is a famous resort for the beach, the forest and the zoo.

A lovely seaside resort set in vast forest with miles of beaches, cycle and bridle paths.  This is a superb holiday venue with kids beach clubs, water sports centre and an adventure park set in the trees.  It is a bustling small town with shops and twice weekly markets.  There is also an excellent ice cream parlor, Fiorellis with homemade ice cream - well worth a visit!

La Palmyre is also famous for its Zoo which is home to more than 1,500 animals from all five continents including lions, tigers, leopards, wolves, sea lions, polar bears, hippopotami, zebras, pink flamingoes, giraffes.  It has a polar bear basin and tropical greenhouse.  Parrot and sea lion shows from Easter to early November.  Open all year.
